Funding for RACC's General Support grant program comes primarily from the government sector, including the City of Portland, Metro, Multnomah County, Clackamas County, and Washington County, along with growing revenues from Work for Art, RACC's workplace giving program. These grants typically provide between 1% to 4% of an arts organization's budget, although one of RACC's long-term goals is to secure enough funding to represent 5% of all organizations' budgets, consistent with national best practices.
“Local artists and arts organizations drive the creative economy, enhance our children's learning with arts education programs, and improve the quality of life for all area residents,” said Eloise Damrosch, Executive Director of the Regional Arts & Culture Council. “We are delighted to provide support for these vital partners who are working with us to integrate arts and culture in all aspects of community life.”
Applications for the next RACC grants opportunity, Project Grants, are now available online at www.racc.org/grants. Artists, schools, and arts organizations headquartered in Clackamas, Multnomah, or Washington County must submit an Intent to Apply via the RACC Online grant system (www.racc.org/GrantApps) by no later than August 14th. The electronic application deadline is August 21st for both Individual and Organizational applicants.
Through vision, leadership and service the Regional Arts
& Culture Council works to integrate arts and culture in all aspects of
community life.
