5/14/08 DEADLINE FOR PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITY. Natural Cycles, temporary art installations. The Friends of Tryon Creek State Park and RACC invite artists/teams living in Oregon and Washington to submit proposals for temporary one-year installations in Tryon Creek State Park beginning in September 2008. Up to five artists will each receive an honorarium of $3, 000.
5/16/08 DEADLINE FOR WORK FOR ART JOB OPPORTUNITY. Work for Art Development Assistant (.5 FTE – 20 hours per week). Provide general administrative support to the Program Manager and activities of Work for Art, a workplace giving program for arts and culture in the tri-county region, administered by the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC). Data entry and database management; letters; printed materials; phone calls; and web research. Requires strong data entry skills and mastery of Microsoft Office suite and database software. 5/20/08 DEADLINE FOR DEVELOPMENT JOB OPPORTUNITY. Major Gift Specialist sought by RACC to be part of our 2008-09 fundraising efforts including cultivation and solicitation of major gifts (gifts over $5,000) from businesses, foundations, and individuals. Over the next 12 months, more than $500,000 must be raised from the private sector to support key RACC initiatives including an emerging arts education program (“Arts Partners”) and an expanded united arts fund campaign (“Work for Art”). Experience in nonprofit grantwriting, donor cultivation, and major gift solicitation required.
6/1/08 DEADLINE FOR PUBLIC ART MURAL PROGRAM. The Public Art Mural program is a Portland city-wide program administered by RACC. Businesses and artists or artist teams are eligible to apply for this program.
7/9/08 INTENT TO APPLY DEADLINE FOR FELLOWSHIP GRANT. 2008 Artist Fellowship Award in Literature. The RACC Fellowship Award Program recognizes artistic achievement and excellence and offers individual artists from the tri-county region greater opportunities to advance their work. The program is intended to help individual artists of high merit sustain or enhance their creative process. This year, RACC intends to award one $20,000 Fellowship to a Literary Artist. Literary arts include poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction and playwriting.
