Logo requirements for General Support organizations
Using the RACC and Work for Art logos help the community see the impact
of their public and private investments in arts and culture. Organizations
receiving General Support are required to print the RACC and Work for
Art logos together at the appropriate level recognizing the
amount of your combined gift from RACC and Work for Art.
Please refer to your grant award contract for specific information about when
and where the RACC and Work for Art logos can be used. At minimum we
require placement of the RACC logo in season brochures, performance/exhibit/lecture
programs, and on your website. The combined logos shall not
be printed any smaller than the other smallest logo, and must be legible. Failing
to meet these minimum requirements can jeopardize future funding from RACC
and Work for Art.
In addition to our required uses, RACC requests that arts organizations
publish these logos in flyers, printed advertisements, posters, newsletters,
event signage, and other collateral materials consistent with however
you would acknowledge a corporate or individual gift of the same size. For
press releases and other applications where no sponsor logos are printed,
or if space and format do not otherwise permit the use of the RACC logo,
RACC support should be acknowledged in regular typeface thus: “[name
of organization or name of event] is funded in part by the Regional Arts & Culture
Council and Work for Art.”
When using these logos, do not separate them or any of their components.
Do not rotate, stretch, or otherwise distort the dimensions of the logo. Please
take care to retain adequate white space around the logos when printing
it among other graphical elements in a publication.
PRINTING LOGOS IN COLOR
VS. BLACK & WHITE
All logos are available in color, but may also be printed in plain black,
allowing for flexible use in almost any publication. When printing logos
on a colored or black background, please use the logo that best stands
out on the background. For dark colors and black backgrounds, it may
be preferable to “knock out” or “reverse out” the
logos, thus having them appear as white.
QUESTIONS?
If you have questions about using the RACC and Work for Art logos, would
like to manipulate the logos in any way, or would like to receive the
logos in additional formats for use in certain design programs, please
contact Mary Bauer at RACC at 503.823.5426, or by email at mbauer@racc.org.
Logo requirements for Project Grant recipients
Some (not all) project grant recipients also receive funding from Work
for Art. Please refer to your grant award letter and contract
for directions. Arts organizations that receive government support
AND Work for Art support in their project grants are asked to run the
two logos together at the appropriate level recognizing the amount of
your combined gift from RACC and Work for Art.
Individual artists and some organizations receiving project grant support
are required only to use the RACC logo. It exists in two configurations –
| Vertical logo: |
Horizontal logo: |
 |
 |
Project grant recipients are required to place the required logo(s)
in all printed materials associated with the specific project
that is being funded by a RACC grant. Examples include promotional brochures,
direct mail solicitations, posters, printed advertisements, programs, playbills,
on-site signage, websites, annual reports, and newsletters. The RACC
logo(s) shall not be printed any smaller than the other smallest logo associated
with your project, and must be legible.
When using these logos, do not separate them or any of their components.
Do not rotate, stretch, or otherwise distort the dimensions of the logo. Please
take care to retain adequate white space around the logos when printing it
among other graphical elements in a publication.
