RACC Grant Deadlines
The following is a list of when various RACC Grant Applications will be available
in 2008 and their deadlines. For more details about each grant, please click
on the link. These grants are available to residents of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties in Oregon. Applications are available online at www.racc.org or by calling 503.823.5111. Grant
applications need to be at the RACC office, 108 NW 9th Ave., Suite 300, Portland,
OR 97209 by 5pm on the deadline date.
Deadlines for the following RACC Grants in 2008-09:
Opportunity Grant Program is designed to provide grants to Portland-based nonprofit arts and cultural organizations to help meet special opportunities or assist organizations with emergencies that arise during the year and that are not part of the applicant’s annual budget or regular programming. There will be multiple cycles of this grant throughout the fiscal year. It is meant to supplement but not be a substitute for any other existing RACC grant. General Support Grants aim to provide general financial support to arts organizations in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties, based on their artistic excellence, proven service to the community, administrative and fiscal competence. Must have minimum eligible expenses of $80,000 and at least one paid professional staff. Applications and guidelines available at GrantsOnline.
Professional Development Grants (Cycle I) assist artists or arts administrators with opportunities that specifically improve their business management development skills and/or brings the artist or the arts organization to another level artistically. Applications and guidelines available at GrantsOnline.
The Artist Fellowship program recognizes the artistic excellence and achievements of individual artists. Fellowships include a cash award to help artists of high merit sustain or enhance their creative process. Due to the unstable economic climate, RACC will defer the program until the first quarter of 2010 when funding sources can be reassessed and RACC can be reassured that an entire four-year rotation of Fellowships can be awarded in Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Media Arts and Literature.
Project Grants to individual artists in three (3) categories: Artistic Focus, Community Participation and Arts In Schools*. A project is a specific art presentation, exhibit or creation of work that is fully executed within a specified timeline and contains a public component. See Guidelines and Online Application. * In an effort to better accomodate the needs of the education community, the availability of Project Grant Arts-In-Schools applications will coincide with the beginning of the school year.
Professional Development Grants (Cycle 2) assist artists or arts administrators with opportunities that specifically improve their business management development skills and/or brings the artist or the arts organization to another level artistically.
Arts Education Grants, called Arts Education Fast Track Grants, offer funding for arts education projects to all public and private schools in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties.
