Are you looking for ways to include arts education in your classroom? RACC.org can help!

  • RACC provides cash grants of up to $1,000 for K-12 schools in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties to bring professional artists and arts organizations into the classroom. Go to Fast Track Grants for for more information.
  • RACC offers Project Grants for Arts in Schools - projects that encourage and enable members of the professional arts community to work in schools and create arts-rich learning environments. For more information see Project Grants.
  • Check out a new initiative to bring arts education to Portland region schools. Arts Partners is a collaborative initiative involving RACC, NW Business for Culture and the Arts, Young Audiences of Oregon and SW Washington, city and county governments and 5 local schools districts.
  • See RACC Arts Education Resource Directory, a comprehensive listing of arts education programs, information and resources in the Portland metropolitan area.
  • See a listing of art and culture activities for kids and direct links to the main organizations in the region that offer art activities and events for youth.
  • See information on arts curriculum frameworks and best practices in art, dance, drama, multimedia and music, developed by K-12 school districts throughout Portland.
  • See the Young Audiences Educators Guide here, or schedule an arts activity for your school by contacting Young Audiences at 503.225.5900.
  • Arts and culture activities have been proven to help kids do better in school, but the sad truth is, kids today spend more time at their lockers than in arts classes. Read some important facts here about Arts. Ask for More national arts education campaign.
  • For help in making the case that music and the arts are an integral part of every child's education, visit SupportMusic.com, a national advocacy effort that unites various national and regional organizations with parents and community leaders seeking to improve access and opportunity in music and arts learning.
  • For more information on these and other programs, visit our Resource for Educators page.
