Work for Art: Workplace Giving for the Arts
In October 2003, RACC launched a workplace giving program for arts and culture. Work for Art (formerly the Regional Arts & Culture Fund) supports more than 70 nonprofit arts and culture organizations in the tri-county region.
Workplace giving campaigns are an efficient and effective way of raising money through donations made by individuals in their place of employment. A workplace giving campaign can reach large numbers of people at relatively low cost. This kind of fundraising would be cost prohibitive for any one arts organization to do alone.
When employees make a donation to Work for Art they can support over 70 arts & culture organizations in the tri-county area or designate one or more arts organizations to be the beneficiary of their gift. 100% of all contributions are passed on directly to the organizations and the programs they provide.
Donors who give $60 or more receive a Work for Art Card which provides an entire year of discounts on tickets at a variety of local arts organizations including, Oregon Symphony, Portland Art Museum, Portland Opera, Chamber Music NW, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Oregon Children’s Theatre, Tears of Joy, White Bird and many more.

Currently there are more than 24 companies running Work for Art campaigns including, 5th Avenue Suites Hotel, Hampton Affiliates, Multnomah County, Oregon Health & Sciences University, Pacificorp, Portland General Electric, and Zimmer Gunsul Frasca.
