Resources Overview

As part of RACC's mission to support artists and arts and culture organizations in the region, we are constantly adding to a broad range of resource material for the arts community to utilize.

Art Notes, the RACC newsletter, is one of the most comprehensive listings in the Northwest of opportunities for artists and cultural organizations, featuring notices of grants, competition, jobs, workshops, supplies and services which the community can use. To subscribe, you can sign up for the monthly electronic edition on the side menu of this site, or call 503.823.5111 for a subscription of a printed bi-monthly edition.

Information Services. Useful information and opportunities for artists and arts organization beyond services offered by RACC. This listing is updated on a monthly basis, with some listings appearing in the bi-monthly printed edition of Art Notes.

Grants/Fellowships/Residencies. Other local and national funding opportunities for artists and arts and culture organizations.

Competitions. Local and national juried competitions for artists of all media.

Job Openings. A listing of job opportunities, local and national, for those working in the arts.

Workshops/Conferences/Lectures. A listing of local and some national events open to artists, educators, and organizations.

Open Calls for Artists. Calls for artwork or performers that are not necessarily juried.

Auditions for local theatre or performance openings.

Volunteer/Intern Opportunities in local cultural groups.

Studio Spaces available in the tri-county region of Metropolitan Portland

Consultants & Services. Links to specific consultants offering professional development in the arts, i.e. funding, marketing, or legal services. Also, links to web designers, graphic artists, event planners, and others that work with the arts community.

Miscellaneous. Various announcements from cultural organizations and listings of online resources or writings that serve the arts community.

Cultural Calendar. Events sponsored or co-sponsored by RACC serving the Portland Oregon metropolitan region.

Art Resources Links a search database that contains hundreds of links to art groups and artists, both local, national and international - from local arts organizations like the Portland Art Museum or Oregon Ballet Theatre to museums in New York or Paris. In addition, their are artist's websites and professional services for artists.

Artists Spotlight features a wide variety of individual artists, who have received grant support or public art commissions from RACC, on a rotating basis throughout the year.

RACC Directories. Data compiled by RACC to assist the local arts community in finding artists, funding, and other resources.

Arts Education Resource Directory is a comprehensive listing of arts education programs, information, and resources of interest to schools, parents and students.

GrantSearch lists over 330 sources of funding (local and national) for artists and cultural groups of all media who need funding beyond what RACC can offer.

Neighborhood Arts Program Artist Directory offers a selection of professional artists or arts organizations that RACC has worked with for community arts or cultural programming.

Public Art Database Provides an inventory of public art that RACC oversees in the tri-county region.

RACC Research. Projects sponsored by RACC to measure the impact of arts and culture on the community.

RACC Workshops. RACC seeks to provide, budget permitting, technical assistance to the arts community through Professional Development Workshops for artists. Workshops can cover a broad range of topics from marketing to grantwriting.
